Who this surgery is for
Women with uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding or adenomyosis — especially those who have been offered an open (abdominal) hysterectomy and are looking for a minimally invasive alternative. Your imaging and history are reviewed in a video consultation, and you receive a written plan with itemized costs before deciding to travel.

World-Class Medical Facilities in Monterrey
Surgery takes place at Hospital Ángeles Valle Oriente in San Pedro Garza García, Monterrey — accredited operating rooms, advanced laparoscopic and robotic equipment and private rooms, a ~2-hour flight from Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. Your wound check and pathology results are reviewed in person before your return flight.
Surgical Procedure
Total laparoscopic hysterectomy: the uterus is removed through a few small incisions under balanced general anesthesia, in 2 to 3 hours, with one night in hospital. Compared with open surgery this means less pain, smaller scars and a faster return to normal activity. Complex cases may be performed with da Vinci robotic assistance. Wound check and pathology results are reviewed in person at 7 to 10 days, before your return flight.

Frequently asked questions
Is a laparoscopic hysterectomy possible if I was offered open surgery?
In most cases, yes. Total laparoscopic hysterectomy removes the uterus through a few small incisions with one night in hospital and a faster recovery than open surgery. Complex cases may be performed with da Vinci robotic assistance. Your imaging is reviewed in the video consultation.
How long is recovery after a laparoscopic hysterectomy?
Short walks from day one, limited activity for 2 weeks with a gradual return to normal, and no lifting over 11 lb (5 kg) or high-impact exercise for 4 weeks. You fly home about a week after surgery, after your in-person wound check.
How long do I need to stay in Monterrey?
For major laparoscopic or robotic surgery (endometriosis, hysterectomy, myomectomy) plan about 14 days: arrive 7 days before surgery (minimum 3), one night in hospital, and fly home about a week after surgery once the in-person wound check at 7–10 days is done. Operative hysteroscopy is a 2-day trip.
Will I receive a surgical plan and a price before I travel?
Yes. After a video consultation you receive a written surgical plan in English with an itemized quote — surgeon, anesthesia, hospital, hotel and transfers — before you decide to book any flight.
What happens after I go home?
Remote follow-up by WhatsApp and video call, with structured questionnaires at 1, 4 and 10 months completed online from your phone. Validated instruments (EHP-30, PHQ-9, GAD-7, Central Sensitization Inventory) measure your progress before and after surgery.
